Bob Love's corner of Google
Don't hold your breath...
Sometime in July 2007 --
I've recently moved my boblove.org site to Google, for no particular reason other than the possibility of losing the fixed IP address I've been using forever... Google will likely be my new home for a while. Must say, for a free service it has a lot to offer (No, I don't work for Google) - if you have your own domain and you're tired of administrative issues looking after your connectivity, web server, mail server, etc check out Google Apps! They'll host everything for you... Frankly I still prefer my "Outlook" style of email to Gmail's weird implementation of folders and filters but on the plus side, it's made managing spam a whole lot easier...
"Don't hold your breath...", there wasn't very much on the "old" site and I doubt there'll be very much on this one for the foreseeable future. Never was much into plastering crap about "my life", all over the web although recently I've been considering starting a blog of miscellaneous ranting and ravings about day to day life in Tanzania...
So, watch this space... Or don't...

In Arusha... Wtf?? Earthquakes? Never experienced such a thing before... was very short, too short to decide whether it was scary or exciting... was funny to see the hotel staff running outside for their lives, though, so I guess for me at least it was more exciting than scary... This was (I'm told) a "6.4", epicenter about 60km away. Must say, exciting as it was I don't think I'd like to be on the receiving end of a bigger, or closer one... Now I know how Californians feel...

Discovered a new toy today... check out http://www.gmap-track.com and look for me (boblove). If my N95's GPS is on you'll get a realtime location (if it's not, you'll get my last known location)... Nothing spectacular really, but just goes to show how small the world's getting when the average Joe Bloggs (with apologies to Joe Bloggs everywhere) can do stuff like this...
Aaaaaand... 10 and a bit years later

I'm still alive. Let's face it if I have't done anything with this domain in 10 years I'm not going to start now...
